RubinBrown is a recognized leader in providing services to public sector organizations.

Through our extensive list of clients we serve as well as our involvement in associations and professional organizations at the local, regional and national levels, we understand the issues unique to the public sector.

RubinBrown’s commitment to quality is demonstrated through our membership in the AICPA Governmental Audit Quality Center. This firm-based voluntary membership center is designed to help CPAs meet the challenges of performing quality audits in the unique and complex public sector industry.

The Public Sector Services Group of RubinBrown provides services to a broad spectrum of government organizations, including municipal governments, institutions of higher education, local public school districts, state governments, and political districts such as; public libraries and municipal utility districts.

Industry Involvement
RubinBrown is committed to staying active within the industry, which helps us remain current on all new issues. We are active members of our regional Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) chapters.

Our staff are associate members of the national GFOA, including the Special Review Committee of the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program, the Association of Government Accountants, and special industry related committees of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

	Government Accountability Office The Government Accountability Office is the investigative arm of Congress. GAO exists to support the Congress in meeting its Constitutional responsibilities and to help improve the performance and ensure the accountability of the federal government for the American people. GAO examines the use of public funds, evaluates federal programs and activities, and provides analyses, options, recommendations and other assistance to help the Congress make effective oversight, policy and funding decisions.
	Governmental Accounting Standards Board The mission of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board is to establish and improve standards of state and local governmental accounting and financial reporting that will result in useful information for users of financial reports and guide and educate the public, including issuers, auditors and users of those financial reports. This site is a useful resource to keep up to date on governmental accounting and financial reporting issues.
	Government Finance Officers Association The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada is the premier association of public-sector finance professionals and is dedicated to providing high-quality support to state and local governments. Its site offers services and information related to topics such as software, finance forum, public policy statements, recommended practices, training and financial system links.
	Office of Management and Budget The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) within the U.S. government provides many resources to find information on financial programs. The site offers information on topics such as budgets, grants management, financial management, legislation and procurement policy.
