Bill Rooney is a Partner in RubinBrown’s Tax Services Group and has more than 30 years of experience working in a range of tax areas. He has extensive expertise working with businesses of all kinds, from limited liability companies, to partnerships, and S Corporations, and handles individual tax, trust, real estate, multi-state taxation, non-profit organizations, and IRS issues.

Bill specializes in medical practice consulting and tax planning, including physician compensation calculations, ownership transfers and entity selection. He is also well versed in business acquisitions and dispositions, liquidations, qualified retirement plans, and general income tax research and planning.

In addition to his extensive general tax experience, Bill has provided expert witness testimony for various court hearings related to financial, accounting, and income tax matters, and has attended congressional and IRS hearings in Washington, D.C.
